The Grand Quilt Guild meets on the second Wednesday of each month, ten times a year, at the Riverside Event Centre (formerly named Royal Canadian Legion – Fergus Branch), 500 Blair Street, Fergus, Ontario. The first meeting of the Guild year is in September. There are no meetings in July or August.

During the 2026-2027 Grand Quilt Guild year starting in September, meetings will be held in person and virtually using ZOOM. Members are sent an invitation to the meetings by email in the days before the meeting. The December Christmas Pot Luck Social is in-person only. January and February meetings will be held only on Zoom. The June meeting will be in person only.
Meetings are scheduled from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Doors open at 6:45 pm to provide an opportunity to visit the Library and Sharing Table as well as reconnect with fellow members.
Virtual meetings may be used if the Guild is unable to meet in person. They may also be considered for use at the Riverside Event Centre for a presentation by a guest speaker from out of the area. (Hybrid Meeting Model)
Meetings may feature guest speakers, trunk shows, hands-on activities or mini workshops.
Each meeting has a ‘Show & Tell’ presentation. If you have something special that you would like to show others, we encourage you to bring it or submit photos. This can be a project you are working on or have completed, or it can be quilt related – a great book, a new gadget, an auction sale ‘find’. For many, this is a favourite part of the meetings. You may choose to show your items on a specified table during the meeting and later we will call on you to tell your story. Photos submitted will be displayed on the screen. Members may share up to three items per person per meeting with a brief description as time permits.
