Welcome to our 2026-2027 Quilt Guild season with lots of exciting guest speakers, workshops, sewing days and project already being planned. Our committees are working hard behind the scenes to make this another fun year!

The Grand Quilt Guild was asked again to participate this year in the Pioneer Tent to display hand quilting at the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games. The quilt was called ‘Plaidish’, which was fitting for the event! Members throughout the year were encouraged to dig into their stash and finish a block or two to put into the quilt. Each year, we display as our background a quilt called ‘The Fergus Highland Fling’, which was created for the 65th anniversary of the Highland Games. Lots of chatting and laughter were had these two days!

A Journey of 20 Stitches
In Steven’s words:
“I believe in pushing ourselves creatively. Never stop playing, never stop learning. Quilting isn’t about rules, it’s about passion, having fun and sharing a piece of yourself in everything you do.”
